Consume more is their message, and they make it easy. And the distraction offered by the TV makes it easy to eat without paying attention to how many calories you are consuming. The result-you gain weight and the advertisers profit.

Take a walk instead.

I don’t mean you can never see your favorite programs, but pay attention to what you feed your mind as well as your body.
