My next simple natural weight loss tip is: Make sure you get enough sleep.
There are two hormones the body produces, leptin and ghrelin, which seem directly related to how many calories we consume.
One of the effects of ghrelin is to make us feel hungry, while one of the effects of leptin is to make us feel satisfied. In other words, with higher concentrations of ghrelin, we eat more calories, and with lower concentrations, we eat less.
Research has shown a relationship between the amount of sleep and levels of ghrelin. The less sleep we get, the higher the level of ghrelin; the more sleep we get, the lower the ghrelin level. Read more about the relationship between sleep and these hormones here: Public Library of Science.
Depriving yourself of sleep makes you hungrier, and makes it more likely you will consume more calories.
